Calling all Brighton and Hove creatives!
We’re excited to announce that demolition has begun at our Sackville Road regeneration in Hove, East Sussex. We’re working with construction company Midgard to deliver 564 high-quality build to rent homes, turning a rundown trading estate next to Hove Station into a thriving inter-generational neighbourhood with extensive public gardens. The masterplan also includes 260 care community homes.
Now that work is underway, we’re seeking local artists based in the BN postcode to create designs for a mural to bring to life a large exterior wall at the site, in a prime position which overlooks Sackville Road, a major thoroughfare in the city.
Three designs will be chosen to be installed on the wall at different times during the construction phase, over the next three years. Each mural will therefore be in position for 9-12 months at a time.
We’re is seeking inspirational designs which connect the regeneration of the trading estate to the local community, the designs will reflect Hove’s distinct culture and community.
Think you’ve got what it takes?…

James Blakey, Planning Director at Moda said: ”We’re very excited to see this project get underway and look forward to delivering much needed high quality rental accommodation for the city, together with care home units and much more.
“Moda is here to stay, so we want to be part of our local community and to support it. As a result, we are keen to hear from local artists who would like to see their art featured in a prime position and showcase their talent.
“We’re really looking forward to seeing what local artists come up with to bring the wall to life and connect it with Hove’s history and culture.”
