Plans approved for four new industrial units at The Core Aberdeen

Planning has been granted for four units of varying size – 100,000 sq ft, 39,000 sq ft, 27,000 sq ft and 26,000 sq ft – all four of which will have both office and industrial accommodation.

Plans have been approved for four new industrial units at The Core business park in Aberdeen.

Planning has been granted for four units of varying size – 100,000 sq ft, 39,000 sq ft, 27,000 sq ft and 26,000 sq ft – all four of which will have both office and industrial accommodation.

The first two units to be speculatively developed – 39,000 sq ft and 27,000 sq ft – will also include service yards.

Two other plots cleared by planners include a 100,000 sq ft industrial and office unit with a 2.5 acre service yard and a 20,000 sq ft warehouse and 6,000 sq ft office space unit with a 28,060 sq ft service yard on a 2.14 acre plot.

Nick Berry, a partner with developer Clearbell Capital, said: “With these detailed consents in hand and infrastructure works complete, there are no barriers to an instant start on site.

“In particular the 100,000 sq ft unit is capable of being delivered in around nine months, allowing us to be responsive to the Aberdeen market.”
